takethesquare.net, a site inspired by the Occupy movement has put out a call for a global day of action on May 12.
The call is out to chapters of the Occupy movement worldwide to march in solidarity with the countries in which uprisings are currently taking place (Syria, Greece, Egypt, Tunisia, Iceland and India to name a few).

The Wall Street Journal has reported in their online blog that more than 1 in 7 US Citizens use food stamps. They have included a map where you can click on every state and see the statistics for the amount of people using food stamps.
There is a massive recent increase in the number of average American citizens dependent upon food stamps for survival.

A blogger who goes by the name DF Taker was today fired from their job at the St. Louis Science Center due to their association with Occupy St Louis, known as Occupy STL.
Information was obtained from their facebook page (set to private) including photos and other evidence relating to their support of the movement.
St. Louis Science Center has been reported as using tax payer dollars to enhance bonuses for top level executives and apparently if you are employed by them while being involved in political activities in your personal time, you get fired for it.
