Sound Advice In Light of Google’s New Privacy Policy

As of March 1st, Google implements its new, unified privacy policy, which will affect data Google collected on you prior to March 1st as well as data it collects on you in the future. This data will be pooled along with any data from Youtube in an attempt to build a more accurate profile on you, so that they can try to target-sell to you, or recommend to you whatever they think you might be interested in… at least, that’s what Google says it’s for…

So, if you wish to stay anonymous on-line, you may be interested in deleting your Google Web History as well as your Youtube Viewing and Search History. Some are taking it a step further, boycotting the use of any Google products as Google was already seen as a credible threat to privacy long before this most recent step in the wrong direction.

Here are a couple of guides, with further info on steps you should take.

OWS Fun With Facebook – Occupy Giggles With Google

Next time you find yourself with a few spare minutes on your hands, try something fun? Type into the Facebook or Google search bar the word Occupy then the name of any city you have ever visited, worldwide, that you really liked.

There is a 99% chance it will return a result for the occupation in that city. Then you can see photos / video / read about what is going on there now. I just did it with Occupy Stockholm in honor of my 2 favourite swedes Katarina (senior) & Karin. Even suburbs work in some major states now, as the occupations have spread beyond just city limits…

Google Declines To Remove Videos Of Police Brutality

I am dubious about this but taking it at face value, great news if You Tube is not censoring/deleting footage of occupy events. Especially considering said footage is actually historical documentation, unlike corporate-spun mainstream-media productions…
