Occupy Wall Street Protesters Mass Arrested On Brooklyn Bridge

NYPD arresting peaceful unarmed non-violent protestors en masse… go about 2:30 into it to see the people sitting down & linking arms & still getting assaulted/arrested by the police. TV1/TV3/1ZB etc -STILL- not reporting this. Shame on you MSM.

Occupy Wall Street Video Montage to Rage Against The Machine’s “Freedom”

Take a walk with me down memory lane: Northcote College, 1997 SFC Music end of year final performance exam, I ate breathed & slept with my bass guitar at that time so I put together a band & performed the song “Freedom” by Rage Against The Machine with my childhood friend Dave playing electric guitar. Back then he was the boyfriend of the NZ soul singer Hollie Smith (she was 4th form, we were 6th) & we rocked it for a class that included the only other chick bassist at NC, Maree Thom, most recently of Don McGlashan & the Seven Sisters. Watching this video clip after YEARS of not having heard the song… I still remember every word & every note. We are the 99%.

Journalists Arrested; Roughed Up; Blocked From Covering OWS Eviction

In case you were in any doubt about the media blackout that covered the entire Occupy movement for the first couple weeks of its existence; now the deliberate tactics employed to maintain it are being documented by new media/independent journalists. Arrests, beatings, confiscations, and still the truth survives albeit by a thread…

Occupy Melbourne Assaulted En Masse By Police

I’m so disgusted that I am actually going to call Melbourne mayor’s office and complain. there are videos all over you tube of people in Melbourne being blatantly assaulted by the police. From Occupy Melbourne’s Facebook page; “The Occupy Melbourne Legal Support team urges everyone to take care of themselves and others. Yesterday we witnessed an extraordinary display of state violence and urge people to remain calm in the face of violence. We are also urging all people who were arrested or experienced police brutality to make contact with the Legal Support team to assist us in co ordinating legal responses and caring for each other.”

OWS Short Documentary – “I Am Not Moving”

Already viral, this video compares what US politicians say, with what is actually happening on the ground. Watch it, share it. It is our duty to pass it on.

NYPD Use Strobe Lighting To Prevent OWS Filming

Considering I’ve so far seen on You Tube unedited citizen journalist videos of NYPD @ Occupy Wall Street: punching protesters, macing protesters, using their batons on protesters, riding motorbikes into protestors (and over) & riding horses into protesters…. hey why not put an end to the citizen journalists a little more inventively? wankers.

NZ Herald – “Protests Spread Across America”

NYPD’s Brooklyn Bridge Protest Footage – Edited & Not Time-Linear

Remember the full length video I posted onto my page last night of the Brooklyn Bridge protest? Well that wasn’t good enough for NZHerald.co.nz… who have instead added footage SUPPLIED BY THE NYPD rather than the 1000s of citizen journalists who have uploaded complete footage of the event onto You Tube…. check out the NYPD’s version of events. Please note: what the NYPD video doesn’t explain is that the crowd are chanting “Let Us Go, Let Us Go” because the Police deliberately blocked off the bridge & trapped them all on it, and then they are chanting “Shame, shame, shame” because the police start ripping seated peaceful protestors off the ground and arresting them en masse. Worst of all, the police footage version is edited non-sequentially and thus fails to present the fact that the police deliberately trapped the protesters on the bridge, giving them no way to dissipate. The question remains – how did the NZ Herald, who have utterly failed to report even the existence of the OWS movement for its first 20+ days of existence, manage to get their hands on this doctored footage with such haste?
